Toobi Dolls are inspired by traditional Waldorf or Steiner Dolls: they are made entirely of natural materials, and they are intended to mimic a child through simple features that inspire the imagination. Each little being is lovingly brought to life with needle felting techniques, and crafted from the highest quality materials an artisan can find! These are heirloom toys: ready to join you on your adventures, and designed to last a lifetime! ​
A Message from Toobi
You have found me, and now, you may be asking yourself, who am I, and what is my story?
Well, I was lovingly made by the artist and Midwife, Kalila Ceccarelli, here in Prescott.
It took her a long time to make me. She needle felted my face and body with heirloom sheep wool, then she sewed my body with organic jersey knit, and then she embroidered my features, and crocheted hair for me. I am made entirely of earth based materials, and it took her between 3-15 hours, and much dreaming to make me!
Finally, when my little body was made, she sat with me and asked me to tell her my story! Once she really knew me, she made me the clothes I am wearing.
I am looking for my home, and for the companion who will be my friend for adventures far and wide!

What's The Story of Toobi Toys?
Perhaps the true origin point of these creations is in Kalila'a childhood. As a wee one, she had a beloved stuffed mouse named "Toobi." This was her most beloved friend and companion, and helped Kalila to build imaginary worlds, and deepen into the magic of her childhood.

As a midwife, Kalila is now surrounded by babies and children, and she felt moved to create toys to help these little ones to foster their play and creativity.

In this digital age, it felt incredibly important to offer toys to the community who are handmade, and who were created to have a true, and timeless personality.
Each Tooby Toy was created with the intention of being a genuine playmate--an imaginary friend who will be there for a child through any situation, and any emotion. Tooby Toys were made as a remedy to our modern age: a playmate to support a healthy, creative, and magical childhood.
